Digital Pressure Temperature Sensor
The Digital Pressure Temperature Sensor (DPTS) is a device that measures pressure and up to two temperatures. The device is suitable for gases such as N2, CO2, and Ultra dry air; for electrically non-conductive high boiling point liquids; for hydraulic oils; and for all ASHRAE safety groups A1, A2, and A2L refrigerants such as R134A, R22, R404A, R410A and etc.
The device will measure and report the pressure and temperatures of a multitude of fluids. Those measurements can be used as an input to send a desired fixed or variable PWM output to electrical equipment, such as actuators, LED lights, and compressor contractors via solid-state relay. DPTS can also calculate real-time superheat by using pressure and temperature measurements when installed at the evaporator outlet in HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
Special Features include:
- Pressure and temperature(s) sensor
- Palm size compact design with plug and play capability
- Programmable PWM output
- Real-time superheat calculation
- UL listed for all ASHRAE safety group A1 refrigerants
- UL recognized for all ASHRAE safety group A2 and A2L refrigerants
- Embedded software with bootloading capability
- Extensive fault detection embedded software:
Low/High pressure, Low/High temperature, Low/High superheat etc. - MODBUS RTU protocol with RS485 Communication BUS
- Windows-based Graphical User Interface
The DPTS hardware is comprised of a MEMS-based pressure sensor and an intelligent microprocessing unit. The wire harness includes an external temperature sensor, RS485 communication wires, power input wires, PWM output wires, and general-purpose wires to add a second temperature sensor. The end-user communicates with the DPTS using the MODBUS RTU interface controller or by using DMQ’s Windows operating system-based graphical user interface.
